Lauzon Mixed Martial Arts – Jiu-Jitsu near Easton, MA
Easton is the one town that sits between Lauzon MMA’s two gyms, which turns the usual question into a different one. It is not “how far is the gym”, it is “which timetable fits my week”, because the drive barely separates them and the class times absolutely do.
Measured from Easton center, Canton is 12.0 miles and about 23 minutes and Raynham is 12.8 miles and about 20 minutes. From North Easton, Canton is the closer of the two by a wide margin: 8.3 miles and 16 minutes, against 14.4 miles and 21 minutes to Raynham.
Which Lauzon MMA gym should Easton pick?
The Canton gym on Route 138 runs weekday evenings and Saturday late morning only. It is closed on Friday and Sunday. The Raynham gym on Route 44 runs early mornings, Friday night and both weekend days, and it has the bigger timetable.
So the answer splits cleanly. If you can only train weekday evenings, either gym works and Canton is the shorter hop from the North Easton side. If you need a 6:00 AM class, a Friday evening or a Sunday session, Raynham is the gym, because Canton does not run them. A family with two kids in different programmes will usually end up at Raynham for the same reason: more of the week is covered.

Kids’ classes from Easton
Both gyms run the same three programmes, four afternoons a week: Tiny Ninjas for ages 3 to 5, Vipers for ages 6 to 9 and Cobras for ages 10 to 13. The split matters less than the calendar. Canton covers Monday to Thursday and nothing at the weekend; Raynham covers Monday to Thursday as well, then adds Friday evening, Saturday morning kickboxing and both Sunday mornings. If your weeknights are already full, that extra half of the week is the whole argument for Raynham.
Why Lauzon MMA
Joe Lauzon fought 26 times in the UFC and still teaches at the gyms: the 10:00 AM no-gi classes in Raynham, Vipers twice a week, the Canton jiu-jitsu class on Tuesday evenings and the Saturday MMA ground session. The rest of the team teaches the classes they came up in: Jay Perrin runs the kickboxing and the basics, Josh Scott and Joe Pomfret take most of the adult jiu-jitsu, and Tracey Balaschi teaches the Sunday women’s class.
Lauzon MMA is a members-only gym rather than a drop-in chain, so both locations are full of people who train together every week rather than a rotating cast. Everyone, at either gym, comes in through the same free intro appointment.
How to start: a free intro appointment
Call the gym you want to try. Canton is 781-499-8302 and Raynham is 508-219-0418. Tell them which age group it is for and when you can train, and the team will book you a time and tell you what to bring. No experience needed, and nothing to buy first.
