Kids News
We’re back from February Break and jumping right into Test & Stripe Nights in our Vipers and Cobras classes this week. These are some of my favorite nights of the month. The energy is different. The focus is different. The kids know it’s time to show what they’ve been working on.
Stripes aren’t about being perfect. They’re about progress. Effort. Growth.
Our Lauzon Life Lesson of the Week is:
Give Your Best in Everything.
Always do your best, no matter how big or small the task. Excellence is a habit.

Test night is a perfect example of that. The kids who consistently try hard, stay focused, and push themselves—even on the “normal” days—are the ones who feel most confident when it’s time to test.
Kids Summer Camp Is OPEN
Our Kids Summer Camp registration is officially live.
Parents told us what they wanted:
-
Longer days
-
A full Monday–Friday schedule
-
More structure
-
Enough variety to keep kids active, engaged, and learning all day
So that’s exactly what we built.
This isn’t just “drop your kid off and hope for the best.” It’s organized, structured, high-energy days built around martial arts, games, teamwork, and confidence-building.
Spots will fill up—especially the prime weeks—so make sure you grab yours early. Check out all the details and registration info on the website.
Cage Titans Fenway Recap
Big night for the team at Fenway.
We went 5–0 in MMA.
We went 0–2 in boxing and kickboxing.
That’s fighting. You win together. You learn together.
We want to highlight a couple things separately because they deserve it.
Alyssa’s Win
Alyssa had a great win—and if you know our gym, you know she wears a lot of hats.
Seeing someone who gives so much to the Academy get their hand raised is special. She’s a role model for a lot of our younger students, and we’ll be doing a full blog post highlighting her here.
Jay’s Win
Jay had a huge performance Saturday night. Watching one of our primary striking coaches step into that spotlight and deliver like that—it means a lot.
The composure. The preparation. The adjustments mid-fight. That’s experience and hard work showing up when it counts.
Our students see Jay on the mats teaching combinations, correcting footwork, and pushing people to sharpen their skills. Then they get to watch him go out there and do it under the lights. That’s powerful.
That performance deserves its own full breakdown, here is a separate blog post just on his fight.

NAGA Hanover – February 28th
Next weekend we’re heading to NAGA Hanover.
Josh has already been posting in the team groups (thank you, Josh 🙌), but we’re going to put together a full blog post with:
-
Smoothcomp registration details
-
Exact team name to register under
-
Weigh-in info
-
Spectator details
We’ll be sending coaches to support the team.
To help everyone prep, we’ve also brought back our Sunday Kids Comp Class leading into the event. If your child is competing—or even thinking about competing—this is the perfect way to get extra reps in a focused setting.
More details coming in a dedicated post shortly.

Let’s have a strong week back. Test hard. Train smart. Give your best in everything.
