This week in our Vipers and Cobras classes, we’re digging into some super important skills: hand fighting from the bottom front headlock (including the peek-out), plus stopping and breaking grips from guard. These are foundational movements that show up everywhere, so it’s great to see the kids getting comfortable with them early.
The Lauzon Life Lesson of the Week is Master Your Mind & Body. Control your thoughts, and you’ll control your actions. Your mind leads—your body follows.

We’ll be sending coaches to support our athletes at NAGA Hanover on February 28th. To help everyone feel prepared and confident, we’re bringing back our Sunday Kids Comp Class leading into the event. This class is free for members and is a great way to get extra reps, confidence, and competition experience. More details can be found in the related blog post.
A quick reminder that our annual kids break during February vacation is coming up February 16th through February 22nd. There will be no kids classes during this week. We love building this break into the schedule—it gives families time to relax and recharge, and it gives our instructors a well-earned reset as well.
Our new Tiny Ninjas block is off to a great start! This class meets Fridays at 5pm and Sundays at 9am, and we’d love to see some new faces join in. We’re also happy to have familiar faces switch into these time slots if they work better for your schedule. Reach out to the front desk if you have any questions.

We’ll also be hosting our annual Valentine’s Day Seminar on Sunday, February 15th at 11am, immediately following Joe Pomfret’s 10am BJJ class. This is always a fun one—a great chance to bring someone you care about, connect, laugh, and learn something new together. Full details can be found on our Facebook event page.
