Kids & Adults Weekly Update – May 4, 2025
🥋 Kids Martial Arts News
This week in our Vipers BJJ (ages 6–9) and Cobras BJJ (ages 10–13) classes, we’re focusing on the Armlock from Guard. We’ll be working on getting the position clean and controlled, and then reviewing everything we’ve been working on lately. It’s all about building confidence through consistency.
In Tiny Ninjas BJJ (ages 3–5), we’re introducing two important movements: the Double Ankle Sweep and the Technical Standup. These are fun, functional techniques that give kids balance, awareness, and a ton of laughs while they learn.
We would love to see as many of our Raynham kids in Canton as possible over the next few weeks so we can help build a base membership. Please just give us a heads up and call to let us know so we can have attendance cards ready for your son or daughter.
🧠 Lauzon Life Lesson of the Week
“Tell the Truth & Do What’s Right.”
This one’s simple—but huge. We’re talking with the kids this week about honesty and integrity. Doing the right thing—even when no one’s watching—builds trust with their coaches, teammates, and families.

💥 Adult Program Updates
Big thanks to everyone who came out today for the grand opening of our new Canton location. Seeing our community show up with that kind of support was amazing. We’re pumped to build something special in Canton and keep growing.
We’re working to build a strong membership base at the new Canton gym, and we’d love to see some of our Raynham crew drop in over the next few weeks. Classes may be on the smaller side at first, but that just means more attention, more rounds, and top-level instruction. It’s a great time to train and help us build the vibe from day one.
🗓 Saturday Marathon Class – New Time
Just a reminder that our marathon grappling class now kicks off at 9am every Saturday. Whether you’re training Gi or No-Gi, come get in a bunch of rounds before the 10am Gi class with Coach Joe Pomfret.
💐 Mother’s Day Grappling Class – Sunday, May 11 at 11AM
Next Sunday we’re running our annual Mother’s Day grappling class. This is open to all moms who train at Lauzon MMA—and any moms who’ve been curious about trying Jiu-Jitsu. No experience needed. Just show up ready to laugh, sweat, and try something new.
📲 Come Train With Us
Whether you’re checking out a new class or stopping in to watch your kid learn an armlock, we’d love to see you this week. Got questions or want to try a class? Stop in or schedule online anytime.
