It’s been an exciting week at Lauzon MMA, and we’ve got plenty of updates to share! From major milestones to upcoming events, let’s jump right in.
Celebrating Achievements
We kicked off the day with a special moment: Coach Joe Pomfret received his first degree on his black belt during the 10 a.m. BJJ class, awarded by Danny Savery. This milestone is a testament to Joe’s dedication, skill, and years of hard work. Congratulations, Coach—well deserved!
We’re also incredibly proud of Alyssa Tortora and Drew Arpin, who both earned wins last night at Cage Titans 69. The grit, preparation, and heart you brought to the cage inspire all of us here at Lauzon MMA. Thank you for representing our gym so well!
Today, we were honored to host the Mass Police Jiu-Jitsu Team Open Mat, where first responders came together to sharpen their skills and support one another. It’s always inspiring to see such a dedicated group come together for growth and connection.

Member Spotlight
Our spotlight this week shines on all of you who continue to show up, train hard, and support the gym’s positive atmosphere. Whether you’re a first responder rolling at an open mat, a competitor in the cage, or a parent bringing your child to our kids’ program, you’re the heartbeat of Lauzon MMA.
Kids’ Program Update
This week, our Tiny Ninjas, Vipers, and Cobras are showing off everything they’ve learned this month as we wrap up testing and award new stripes and belts. Watching their progress—from mastering mount escapes to growing in confidence—never gets old!
Our Lauzon Life Lesson for the week is Adapt & Stay Focused, teaching kids how to remain flexible without losing sight of their goals. We encourage you to talk with your kids at home about how they’ve applied this lesson in training or school.
