Active Guard has failed

Your active guard has failed you. You tried to stay busy, but they still got around your legs. It happens, don’t worry about it. 


Hips Away Defense

This is where we put our shrimping motion to use. Post your far leg on the ground, lift your hips, move your hips away and let your inside leg slide in front of his belly.

Escaping side control can be very difficult, so don’t get discouraged if it doesn’t go as smooth as you would like.
